Young investigator in the spotlight - short talk: Dennis Gout
Title: Fusion of TNF-α to an FcRI bispecific antibody potentiates anti-tumor immunity.
Keynote speaker: Dario Neri
Title: Antibody-Cytokine Fusions: from the bench to the clinic
Cytokines are key regulators for the activity of the immune system. The antibody-based delivery of certain cytokines to the site of disease holds promises for the treatment of cancer and of chronic inflammatory conditions. In this lecture, I will show you how we have developed antibody-cytokine fusions, which are currently being investigated in late-stage clinical trials
Host: Marjolein van Egmond
Cancer immunology program
Dario Neri obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from ETH Zurich, which was followed by a post-doctoral research position at the Cambridge Centre of Protein Engineering. He returned to ETH Zurich in 1996 has been a Professor of Biomacromolecules since 1999 in the department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences. He is also Co-founder, CEO, CSO and President of the Scientific Advisory Board of Philogen, which he permanently joined in 2020. Philogen’s strategy is to deliver bioactive agents to the site of disease using antibodies or small organic ligands, thus increasing the therapeutic activity and helping spare normal tissues.
Prof. Neri is recipient of numerous awards and is author of more than 400 publications in international scientific journals.
