Wednesday afternoon, October 5, the Dutch Association Gender & Health organizes the Lustrumcongres 'Under the spell of diversity' in the Planetarium in Amsterdam.
It has taken 20 years for European research policy to evolve from stimulating gender integration in research to an inclusive analysis as a condition for funding under Horizon Europe (research funding by the European Commission). Diversity and inclusion are terms frequently used in all kinds of settings. But how do we deal with diversity in relation to research on disease and health? And what diversity are we talking about? Which social positions matter and when?
