To mark the conclusion of the PERCIM project, which since 2019 has focused on research into the treatment of people with depression and inflammatory and metabolic dysregulations, colleagues Sarah Vreijling, Femke Lamers, and Rick Jansen are organizing a symposium on depression and inflammation.
During this symposium, they will share the key findings from PERCIM, and there will be attention given to the work of other research groups on this topic. For example, Prof. Dr. Hemmo Drexhage, immunologist and author of the book Immuno-Psychiatry, will give a lecture on immunopsychiatry and the potential implications for the treatment of depression. The second guest speaker is Céline Wessa, psychiatrist and researcher at the University of Antwerp.
