The 5th symposium on Vascular & Diabetic Disease was initally scheduled for Friday 12 November 2021. But due to the current COVID-19 measures, this symposium is postponed to Friday 17 June 2022.
Amsterdam Cardiovascular Sciences
The 5th edition of the Symposium will cover a broad overview of the Vascular Medicine field with state-of-the-art presentations by prominent speakers on Diabetes Mellitus and Metabolic Diseases.
The 5th 'Amsterdam Symposium on Vascular & Diabetic Disease 2021' was created in collaboration with the Department of Vascular Medicine of the AMC & VUmc, which are part of Amsterdam Cardiovascular Sciences research institute. The two departments, combined in the Netherlands, have a leading role in vascular science, training and education. This symposium is a recurring educational initiative. Please note that this symposium is in Dutch.
The program includes the following topics:
- Covid vaccination and hemostasis/thrombosis
- Changing paradigm in treating residual cardiovascular risk
- Cardiovascular genetics, atherosclerosis, and the curious case of Benjamin Button
- Diabetes and ethnicity: a role for microbiome?
The Symposium will again be a special edition with a broad overview in the field of Vascular Medicine, Diabetes Mellitus and Metabolic Diseases and several prominent speakers will give a state-of-the-art overview. The symposium will conclude with a celebratory reception.
Accreditation
Accreditation is granted by the Dutch Internists Association (6 points).
