Dr. Janis Taube is Professor of dermatology and pathology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her research focuses on the prognostic and predictive value of the immunoarchitecture of melanoma and other cutaneous neoplasms.
She is one of the lead scientific researchers at Johns Hopkins and an internationally recognized expert on multiplexed immunohistochemistry and biomarker research. She was part of the team that conducted the first randomized trials on anti-PD-1/nivolumab and was the first to report PD-L1 and T cell co-localization in the tumor microenvironment.
Since then she has employed various state-of-the-art high-dimensional analytical methodologies in her ongoing quest for predictive biomarkers for cancer immunotherapy.
