General
The Amsterdam Center for Health Communication (ACHC) is organizing its Spring Symposium on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. This time, the theme is "Effective Communication for Pandemic Preparedness", and the symposium will be led by Bas van den Putte and Adriana Solovei.
Effective communication is crucial for a timely and successful response during crises. The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the essential role of communication in encouraging protective health behavior, addressing misinformation, and promoting a more resilient society. In this symposium, we will reflect on the challenges and lessons from past crises and discuss the next steps to improve pandemic preparedness, with special attention to various dimensions of health communication.
Please note: since we also aim to invite a professional audience, the symposium will be conducted in Dutch/Flemish.
