The Centre of Expertise Urban Vitality (CoE Urban Vitality) of the Hogeschool van Amsterdam focuses on promoting the vitality of all citizens in the metropolitan environment, specifically Greater Amsterdam. Such as the frail elderly who live at home, children who are overweight or heart patients who need to rehabilitate. But also top athletes, who want to know how they can train even better.
The CoE Urban Vitality is a partnership between educational institutions, organisations, companies, inhabitants and the government and focuses on 5 themes: Healthy Ageing, Growing Up Healthy, Intensive Complex Care, People in Motion and Sport, Performance and Management.
Within the themes, demand-driven, interdisciplinary research is carried out in cooperation with the partners involved and practical experience is passed on in education. Various Living Labs have been set up in which residents, companies, authorities, students and researchers tackle an issue together. Cross-theme fields of expertise are also addressed, including artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship and higher education, research & innovation.
This kick-off is all about inspiring, connecting, exchanging and deepening. A varied programme in which the CoE Urban Vitality is eager to enter into dialogue with partners, professors, researchers and other stakeholders from the field. After the plenary opening, you can join the workshops for knowledge sharing and to look ahead together to the future of the vitality of all Amsterdam residents.
