Development and evaluation of advanced methods to perform cost-effectiveness studies using real world data.

To be able to allocate healthcare resources efficiently, decision-makers need information about the cost-effectiveness of care under routine conditions. In this project we will develop and evaluate advanced methods to perform cost-effectiveness studies using real world data.

Methodological issues that will be investigated in this project are confounding by indication, missing data, treatment switches and longitudinal data. At the end of the project, a toolbox will be made available with scripts to apply the developed methods and tutorials on how to apply the scripts.
