Bayesian data analysis presents an attractive alternative to p-value hypothesis testing. In the past years, Bayesian methods have become increasingly popular because they provide several advantages to the applied researcher, such as the ability to quantify evidence and successively update it as data come in. In this workshop, we will give a conceptual introduction to the basics of Bayesian statistics and introduce JASP, a user-friendly open source software package that allows users to conduct Bayesian data analysis for standard statistical problems.
