Thought for Food kicks off with a lecture by Prof. Ysbrand van der Werf. He will tell us about the relationship between sleep and stress.
Amsterdam Neuroscience
Many people are experiencing the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdowns. Familiar habits are lost and new ones are created, people sleep differently, and the healthy lifestyle is difficult to retain. While some may have a harder time, experience more stress, or lack a sense of productivity, there are others who are thriving today! How does that work in our brain? And can we use knowledge of the brain to understand the negative effects and how can we make ourselves more resilient?
In a series of lunch lectures, brain researchers will have the ‘online’ floor to jointly find answers to these questions. Each of them will discuss their expertise during their own live stream. At the end of each lecture, there is the opportunity to ask questions via the chat.
