The article states that an international commitee has drafted regulations for the genetically enhamcement of human embroys. The conclusion is: it is not safe enough, and a societal debate is needed first.

Sebastiaan Mastenbroek, the chair of the research committee of KLEM (The Dutch federation of clinical embryology) and member of the Amsterdam Reproduction & Development Research Board, is happy that so much attention is going to genetically enhancement of embryos. In the article he is quoted: “Fortunately, since that will put a break on irresponsible applications in the clinical practice”
