The Amsterdam Center for Health Communication (ACHC) is organizing a symposium onTuesday, April 2nd 2024. This time, the topic is: “Connected Health: Research and Interventions on Social Influences on Health”, organized by Saar Mollen and Christin Scholz. You can find more detailed information in the flyer on our website.

As social beings, we think about our health within the framework of our own social environment. How we talk to each other about health, what social norms we adhere to and how other people in our social networks behave influences our health behavior and influences how we can best promote health behavior through practical interventions and policies.

Come learn and participate at the ACHC symposium with leading experts from practice and research.

The keynote presentation will be given by Prof. Dr. Jaap Seidell (VU Amsterdam), who works (among others) on a project about the development of a national, holistic approach for combating overweight and obesity with a special focus on social factors in health behavior.

The program leaves room for a few “Blitz presentations”, which can be used to present research or work-in-progress in an accessible manner within 5 minutes. Would you like to give a Blitz presentation? Send us a brief abstract (max. 200 words) before March 15th 2024 through the registration form..

Because we also invite attendees from practice, the main symposium language will be Dutch/Flemish.

You can sign up for the symposium and/or propose a Blitz presentation by using this link:  Registration form.
