Jo van Ginderachter is full Professor of Immunology and group leader of the myeloid cell immunology lab at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. In his group the heterogeneity of myeloid cells (MCs) is used as an in vivo sensor to track inflammatory responses and as a target for therapeutic intervention. His work has a strong focus on macrophage activation and polarization.
Nick Devoogdt is a full professor heading a team at the Free University Brussels applying nanobodies as vehicles for imaging and therapy in the fields of oncology, inflammation and cardiovascular diseases. He is specialized in the art of nanobody technology.
