Specialization
As a part of the CalProtect project my research focusses on the validation of the novel T50 assay which predicts the calcification propensity in Chronic Kidney Disease patients. The goal is to develop a new benchtop machine for the T50 assay and introduce this in the clinics. Using the T50 will provide personalized treatment for patients and prevent the development of cardiovascular complications. Besides validating the T50, a secondary aim is to correlate cardiovascular damage biomakers with the assay.
