Focus of research
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Molecular Cell Biology & Immunology. My main research focus is the metabolism of lipids (phospholipids, cholesterol, and lipid mediators) in neuro-inflammatory diseases like multiple sclerosis. I recently discovered how molecular transporters regulate peroxisomal fatty acid oxidation and phospholipid synthesis and I am now focusing on targeting specific biochemical pathways and enzymes to drive remyelination and resolution of inflammation in multiple sclerosis.
