The Dutch Hypertension Association (NHV) is organizing the National Hypertension Congress. The theme of the meeting is "Diversity in Cardiovascular Disease. You can physically attend this congress at Hotel Theater Figi in Zeist.

In the Netherlands there are great differences in life expectancy and the ability to grow old in a healthy way. This is most true for cardiovascular diseases, despite the fact that treatment has greatly improved.

How can we reduce the existing health disparities and make the treatment of cardiovascular diseases more effective?
The 14th symposium of the Dutch Hypertension Society (NHV) will discuss the causes of the differences in outcomes, the consequences for the treatment of cardiovascular disease and the so-called residual risk. In addition, the importance of diversity in the treatment with old and new drugs (diuretics, aldosterone antagonists, SGLT2 inhibitors, GLP1 receptor agonists) and the opportunities diversity offers to make new discoveries in the field of cardiovascular disease will be discussed.

The program consists of both plenary sessions and interactive workshops by speakers dealing with diversity and cardiovascular disease in research and practice (in Dutch).
