Theme Advancing innovation in immunology through collaboration

General

The opportunities for actionable science in immunology are growing exponentially. Hundreds of novel targets across many immune pathways have been identified that may have the potential to regulate immune balance and tissue homeostasis. But how do we select targets that will make the most significant impact on patients’ lives?

This symposium will bring together J&J experts and key opinion leaders from academia, industry and investors to discuss the latest research in target selection and the most promising emerging pathways to address this growing and unmet medical need. Over 33 million patients are diagnosed each year? with moderate to severe autoimmune diseases in Europe, the US, Canada and Japan, and over 2 million patients are in clinical response or remission.

During the symposium the panelists will share their views on which targets and pathways are the most promising and why. The panelists will also discuss the challenges in bringing these innovations to patients, and how some of these hurdles can be overcome through company creation, and strategic partnerships and collaborations.

After the panel discussion there is an opportunity to talk informally with J&J and other attendees.
