Keynote speaker: Muzlifah Haniffa
With her talk: Decoding the developing human immune system.

Muzlifah is Professor of Dermatology and Immunology at Newcastle University, Wellcome Trust Senior Research Fellow in Clinical Science, and a Lister Institute Prize Fellow. Muzlifah’s research has been recognised by a number of national and international awards including the Foulkes Foundation Medal in 2019. She was elected to the prestigious Academy of Medical Sciences in 2020. Muzlifah pioneered the application of single cell genomics technologies to understand tissue homeostasis, immunity and disease pathogenesis across the human lifespan. A major research goal of her laboratory is to decode the development and functional maturation of the human immune system.
