This year, the TCS Amsterdam Marathon has again joined forces with the Dutch Cancer Society (KWF) to boost fundraising for ground-breaking cancer research at Cancer Center Amsterdam, raising a record amount of € 689,750.

Participants in the TCS Amsterdam Marathon that was held on October 17, 2022, could make a voluntary contribution during their registration, or create their own action page through KWF’s Run Against Cancer platform. More than 1,000 runners participated in the KWF platform.

Annemarieke Gottmer of KWF and Jan Paul Medema of Cancer Center Amsterdam received a check worth € 689,750 during the International Award Ceremony, presented by René Wit, race director of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon and Josu Devasia, Country Head Netherlands of Tata Consultancy Services.

KWF director Carla van Gils: "Once again, we had a great performance by all the Run Against Cancer participants. Each participant ran with a personal story and raised funds that will be used by Cancer Center Amsterdam to set up a regional research network. To participants, sponsors, and the organization: Thank you all!"
