Focus of research
As a health scientist, I am trained to do research in the public health arena. My expertise is in occupational health, including promoting health of workers, prevention of work-related health problems. My main interest is captures in sustainable employability; what do workers need to continue working until their retirement age, with regards to work ability, employability and vitality. A supportive work environment is key, particularly when challenges come along the lifecourse disease, such as raising small children, or providing family care. The healthcare workforce has my specific attention, given the personell shortages in healthcare alongside the increasing demand for healthcare.
