Program:

  • 16.00: Welcome and brief presentation of AMS-MSH board activities (prof.dr. Wendy Scholten-Peeters);
  • 16.10: Five 5-minute pitches on results from projects recently funded by AMS/AMS-MSH:

    • Cain Rutgers MSc (AMS Talent grant 2022): 'Synthetic CT for the pre-operative (soft- and bone tissue) workup of the osteoarthritic shoulder';
    • Braedon Charlton MSc (AMS Talent grant 2023): 'Mitochondrial dysfunction in long COVID and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis';
    • Minke Boeijenga MSc (AMS Talent grant 2023): 'In-vitro analysis of elbow instability using 3D CT';
    • Meghan Koop MSc (AMS Talent grant 2023): 'Exercise's Role in Pain Perception: Exploring Exercise-Induced Hypoalgesia in Persistent Pain';
    • Ivo Lutke Schipholt MSc (AMS MSH grant writing grant 2024): 'Machine learning to reduce chronic neck pain and optimize physiotherapy management';
  • 16.45: Two rounds of 15-minute brainstorm discussions (participants will be allocated to two of the following brainstorm discussions):

    • Braedon Charlton: ‘Future research ideas‘;
    • Minke Boeijenga: ‘Implementation of project results’;
    • Meghan Koop: ‘Execution of project’;

  • 17.15: Plenary wrap-up of brainstorm rounds;
  • 17.30: Network drinks.
