Workshop RNA-seq analysis using the Amsterdam UMC core facilities: from the test-tube to functional interpretation. Speakers: dr. Daoud Sie, dr. Peter Henneman, Richard Volckmann, Christian Griffioen and Lieke Hoyng
Amsterdam Movement Sciences
This workshop will cover how a typical RNA-seq project flows through the available Core Facilities at Amsterdam UMC; from experimental design, sequencing and pre-processing, up to the interpretation. We start with the concepts of experiment design and follow our way through the Core Facility Genomics where the wetlab work, sequencing and data preprocessing is performed. Next is a hands-on session where the R2 Support Team will guide you through the Bioinformatics / R2 platform, a dedicated AUMC developed genomics analysis platform designed for wetlab biologists. Here you will explore, analyze and visualize RNA-seq data set to extract and interpret biology from the experiments. The number of participants is limited, advance registration compulsory.
