Dr. Eric Voorn and his colleagues of the neuromuscular research group at the department of Rehabilitation Medicine of Amsterdam UMC have been given two grants:

  • In collaboration with researchers of three Canadian universities they have been awarded a Clinical Research grant ($100k CAD) by Muscular Dystrophy Canada. The B-FIT training guide, that helps healthcare professionals to prescribe personalized exercise programs for people with neuromuscular diseases, will be applied in the Quebec region (Canada), to evaluate the usability and effectiveness of the B-FIT exercise program.
  • Together with the departments of Neurology (Joost Raaphorst), Medical Psychology (Hans Knoop), and rehabilitation center Klimmendaal (Nicole Voet), they have been awarded a ZonMw research grant (EUR 100k,-).
