Today marks an important milestone: the updated eBROK is now available. Visit eBROK.nl to explore the new course. Note that the old eBROK in the Elevate environment is now closed to new registrations and remains only accessible to students who were already enrolled.

“No more PDF file, hidden on the research website”. The renewed Amsterdam UMC Research Code is now webbased, and replaces the old PDF version. The code is fully updated and aligned with the harmonization of Amsterdam UMC.

Peer to peer group coaching (in Dutch, intervisie) is experience driven. The content of the meetings is determined by the participating PhD candidates themselves and therefore has relevance for daily practice and needs of PhD candidates.

Many academics experience an overly one-sided emphasis on research performance, resulting in an excessive urge to publish and an even higher workload. Other qualities of academics, such as teaching, impact, leadership and patient care, remain underexposed as a result. But this is changing thanks to the national program Recognition & Rewards which seeks to rebalance the perception of academic work. As an academic employee, you are key to this change.

In order to contribute to a pleasant and safe PhD working environment, the Doctoral School wants to actively do something with the information we receive from the coaching conversations. For this reason, we drafted a reporting and signaling plan to enable us to signal and help with recurring problems with departments and/or supervisors.

The Doctoral School and ASAP work closely together to provide information, education, coaching & social events for all Amsterdam UMC PhDs.
