In a one-hour workshop, moderated by confidential counsellors Janneke Horn, Frank Snoek and Fenneke Blom, we will dive into the crossroads of research integrity and a safe working climate. Horn and Snoek are counsellors for questions regarding research integrity, and Blom is counsellor for PhD-candidates/AMR and is research integrity trainer. They all encounter the confluence of research integrity and a safe work climate and see a role for both mentors and mentees in fostering an open and safe environment for conducting research. “Encountering dilemmas in your work as a researcher is common, talking about them unfortunately isn’t” Blom explains. Therefore, this workshop will focus on common problems experienced by researchers in Amsterdam UMC, and how to talk about worries, dilemmas, issues,… “It doesn’t matter what you’d call it, as long as you can have an honest and respectful conversation about it with someone you trust, like a mentor for example”.

In preparation for this workshop, they kindly ask you to have a look at the renewed Amsterdam UMC Research Code that was launched on March 14th.

With drinks afterwards!
We look forward to your participation and engaging discussions.
