What actually happens in the brain during anxiety, depression or trauma? How do neurotransmitters, brain circuits and valence systems influence your patient's behavior – and your treatment choices? Do you want to increase your knowledge about neuroanatomy and the functioning of the brain? During this two-day masterclass you will delve deep into the neuroscientific basis of psychopathology and treatment.

The knowledge and insights you will acquire during this two-day further training will not only help you to gain a better understanding of the origins and course of psychopathology, but also to make good decisions between the different treatment options and to explain to your patients about the complaints and possible treatments.

What to expect?
During this two-day masterclass - worth 12 accreditation points - topics such as synaptic plasticity, neurotransmitters, brain imaging, positive and negative valence are discussed. The multidisciplinary teaching team consists of experienced professionals who are happy to share their knowledge from the lab or practice. In addition, various forms of education – presentations, discussing case studies and digital displays of the cutting room – to achieve optimal returns will be offered.
