The COVID-19 crisis puts high demands on the communication of health care providers with patients and their relatives.

Currently, health care is seriously disrupted by the COVID-19 crisis. This puts high demands on the communication of health care providers with patients and their relatives. In support of health care providers, researchers of the research line Medical Communication, department of Medical psychology, have developed recommendations for difficult consultations via the telephone or video-consultations:

(1) Tipsheet Telefonisch slecht nieuws communiceren (o.a. triage, IC-beleid, uitstel behandeling). Developed in collaboration with colleagues of VUMC Academy. Request tipsheet via contact person.

(2) An online blog in Medisch Contact with 8 recommendations for discussing uncertainty in times of Corona.
