Inaugural lecture Ank de Jonge
Amsterdam Public Health
Since December 2019 Ank de Jonge has been appointed Professor ‘Midwifery Science’ at VU Amsterdam. Due to the COVID-19-pandemic her inaugural lecture was moved to January 22, 2021.
The title (in Dutch) of her lecture is: 'Tijd voor verloskundige zorg met vrouwen'.
Before this lecture takes place, the department of Midwifery Science of the Amsterdam UMC and the Amsterdam/Groningen Midwifery Academy are organizing a congress with the title: Continuity of healthcare by birth - the importance of a trusted healthcare provider.
The lecture will be public. Due to the current COVID-19 measures the symposium and lecture will be organized online and can be seen via the YouTube account: VU Beadle's Office.
The program includes speakers Soo Downe (professor of Midwifery Studies at University of Central Lancashire) and Hannah Dahlen (professor of Midwifery at Western Sydney University). Followed with a debate led by Toine Lagro-Janssen (emeritus professor of Woman’s Studies Medicine at the Radboud University Medical Centre) with Christianne de Groot (professor at Amsterdam UMC), Joyce Schouten (midwife at Verloskees), Anouk Kaiser (dean Stichting Zelfbewustzwanger), Bahareh Goodarzi (lecturer and midwife at Amsterdam UMC), and Corlijn van Dijk (physician assistant clinical midwifery at UMC Utrecht).
