With her research ‘Across Diagnostic Boundaries: Investigating shared and specific biopsychosocial factors in common psychiatric disorders’ APH researcher Laura Nawijn has won the Amsterdam Brain and Cognition (ABC) talent grant.

Together with APH researchers Mirjam van Zuiden (assistant professor at Amsterdam UMC) and Anja Lok (senior researcher at Amsterdam UMC), Laura Nawijn (postdoc researcher at Amsterdam UMC) tries to find out if there are common etiological factors which explain the co-occurrence of psychiatric disorders by using data of the HELIUS cohort.

ABC is a research priority program by the University of Amsterdam, and provides funding to promote innovative and excellent research in the area of brain and cognitive sciences. With the ABC grants, the program intent to promote interdisciplinary research where different faculties are involved within the field of brain and cognition.
