  • Number of women with postpartum hemorrhage has increased
    Number of women with postpartum hemorrhage has increased The incidence of women losing more than one litre of blood during childbirth has increased between 2000 and 2014. AR&D researcher and midwife Anna Seijmonsbergen-Schermers conducted a study by analyzing data of more than 2.3 million women in the Netherlands. However, there seems to be limited association between the increase in the number of interventions and the rising trend in postpartum hemorrhage.
