The Consortium Active & Healthy Ageing aims to develop and implement innovations aimed at promoting health in a super-diverse society. This is done combining the knowledge and skills of various organizations.

Objective

In the Consortium Active & Healthy Aging Metropolitan Region Amsterdam, citizens, governments, care and welfare organizations, knowledge institutions and businesses work together at European and regional level to develop and implement innovations aimed at promoting health in a super-diverse society.

Partners

  • 110 partners in the metropolitan region from civil society organizations, governments, health and welfare organizations, knowledge institutions and the business community

Within Amsterdam UMC, the department of Epidemiology and Data Science is also involved.

Examples

of activities in the field of education and training

  • Combining the knowledge and skills of various organizations (AMC, VUmc, HvA, Inholland and SIGRA) to contribute to major issues focused on (health) care and welfare and the education of tomorrow
  • Develop and evaluate a blended-learning course to train ambassadors of CURA within the organizations involved. CURA is an instrument to support health care providers in dealing with moral dilemmas

  • Connecting regional and European partners on research applications

of activities in the area of care (innovation)

  • Facilitation of innovation in the field of care and living
  • Think tank meetings with the partners in the consortium

Established in 2016.
There is structural cooperation. A contract has been concluded with the partners.
