    Aortic motion in Marfan patients: The end of an era (for now) In June 2026, with the PhD defense of Daan Bosshardt, a pioneering VIDI project on advanced aortic imaging in Marfan patients by dr. Pim van Ooij will formally conclude. Launched in January 2021, the project “Comprehensive assessment of 4D thoracic aorta biomechanics using novel cardiac MRI technology” has transformed how we visualize and quantify aortic motion.
