This five-hour-long grant-writing course will give you the necessary skills to write well-structured, clear, concise, reader-friendly and persuasive grant proposals. We will discuss which content goes to the different sections of a general grant proposal, including sections in regards to open science, data management, exploitation and valorisation. Amsterdam UMC postdocs and last year PhD students are invited to register. Both beginners and advanced grant writers will benefit from this workshop.

This workshop is organized by Research Policy Office and will be instructed by Amsterdam UMC staff from four different Research Support Domains: Research Grant Support, Medical Library, Research Data Management and Valorization.

SHORT (tentative) AGENDA 9:30-12:00=Grant writing (including grant planning, narrative CV, writing for reviewers, writing templates, abstracts and deconstructing grant proposals)

12-12:45=Lunch (provided)

12:45-13:15=Open Science

13:15-13:45=Data Management

13:45-14:30=Valorization and commercialization
