Do you want to stay up to date about the most recent developments in the field of dementia? Do you want to exchange experiences with other that also deal with dementia?

Then come to our Lunch & Learn meeting in the Colloquium of Alzheimer Center Amsterdam. While you are having lunch one of the Alzheimer Center experts will speak about the newest insights regarding a specific topic. This time Dr. Rik van der Kant will give a lecture called: "The brain under a microscope: what is happening?"

During this lecture Dr. van der Kant will discuss the processes in the brain. What do braincells do all day? How do the brain cells keep themselves healthy and how do they protect themselves against pathologies? What happens when things go wrong in the brain and how can we visualize this? This lecture will be provided with a large number of illustrations, photos and videos to demonstrate what happens in the brain on a microscopic level. And Dr. van der Kant will discuss how this knowledge is used by researchers to develop new treatments against Alzheimer's Disease.
