On behalf of the junior members of the APH-QoC Program Council, we are pleased to invite you to a workshop on science communication, delivered by dr. Stan van Pelt.

Stan van Pelt is a scientific journalist and author of Sloppy Science and Hack je hersenen. He has extensive experience in making complex scientific topics accessible to a broader audience and has received several awards for his work, including the VWN Publication Prize.

During this interactive workshop, dr. van Pelt will explore how researchers can communicate their scientific message clearly, accurately, and accessibly.

Topics include:

  • communicating complex research findings in a clear and accessible way.
  • translating science into journalism and public debate.
  • common pitfalls in science communication, such as framing and misinterpretation.
  • engaging effectively with the media and broader audiences.
