Stichting Amsterdam UMC

The legal merger of Academic Medical Center and Stichting VUmc into Stichting Amsterdam UMC is effective from January 1, 2024. Ongoing research agreements – concluded with AMC and VUmc – will be continued. Following the legal merger, these research agreements will automatically transfer to Stichting Amsterdam UMC without any further intervention being needed. Research agreements signed after January 1, 2024 will be entered into by Stichting Amsterdam UMC. Please use the prescribed details of Amsterdam UMC as mentioned below.

Amsterdam UMC Research BV

Research agreements concluded with AMC Medical Research BV or VUmc Research BV will not change after January 1, 2024. The merger of AMC Medical Research BV and VUmc Research BV into the Amsterdam UMC Research BV shall take place on August 2, 2024. This means that until that moment AMC Medical Research BV and VUmc Research BV will stay two separate legal entities and, as such, contracting parties. Please be aware of this and only use the prescribed details of the contracting parties below.

AUMC researchers are not entitled to legally represent the AUMC and/or enter into research related agreements as an independent party, upon personal title. The Institution (Stichting Amsterdam UMC/AMC Medical Research BV/VUmc Research BV) shall be the contracting party in the presence of the researcher.

• Stichting Amsterdam UMC, having its principal place of business at the De Boelelaan 1117, 1081 HV Amsterdam, The Netherlands, hereby represented by its fully owned subsidiary VUmc Research BV, lawfully represented in this matter by the board of directors.
