Sustainability of evidence-based practices in healthcare is about how the intervention stays embedded in routine practice. On an organizational level questions as how the intervention will be organized, kept up to date and funded need to be answered. On a professional level topics such as how will physicians, caregivers or other professionals stay motivated and keep their knowledge considering the intervention up to date need to be addressed. Considering these aspects early in your project, preferably in cooperation with stakeholders, may help to achieve sustained implementation of evidence based interventions after your project has ended. On this page you will find more work on the topic of sustainability.
