Last week the annual Postdoc and Young professional event was held at the inspiring location House of Birds in Diemen. Participants were welcomed for a varying program and ended the day with time to network during drinks and dinner.
Activating collaboration and motivation
David Soesan from Reflect Academy took the participants outside for his workshop on activating collaboration. He talked about different communication styles and gave some practical tips on networking and how to pitch your project. Prof. Meulenbroeks gave a talk on motivation and basic psychological needs in an academic career and treated the participants to some music.
Networking in practice
The participants could immediately put the lessons on networking into practice because the day ended with drinks and dinner. All in all, a successful afternoon with inspiring speakers. We would like to thank Young ACS for organizing the event.
