About the Beijerinck Premium
The Beijerinck Premium was established in 2002. It recognises early-career researchers who are conducting outstanding virus-related research and who are therefore setting an example for other young virologists. The Beijerinck Premium is awarded annually. The laureate receives a monetary award of EUR 25,000 to spend on virus-related research.
Who may submit a nomination
Members of the Academy and The Young Academy, deans of universities and full professors in the Netherlands and directors of research institutes in the Netherlands.
