Focus of research
I focus on advancing the methodology used to evaluate medical tests. My current research interests include:
- Comparative evaluation of diagnostic tests when evidence is limited or suboptimal
- Sources of bias in diagnostic and prognostic research, including empirical approaches to identify and quantify bias
- Improving decision-making regarding medical tests, particularly in clinical guidelines
- Meta-epidemiological studies addressing causal questions
