Focus of research
Dr. Eline Möller is a senior researcher whose scientific work centers on early childhood development, particularly the first year of life. Her research mainly focuses on responsive parenting interventions for preterm infants in the first year at home after hospital discharge (TOP program). Her work often involves research into parent–child interaction, including how parental behavior affects infant development.
In addition, she focuses on understanding infant crying and sleeping problems and on developing and evaluating interventions to support parents and children in these areas. She studies how responsive caregiving approaches, such as the Soothing and Sleeping method (Troosten en Slapen), can be implemented effectively in practice.
Overall, her scientific agenda aims to improve outcomes for very young children and their families by combining developmental science, intervention research, and implementation studies in real-world settings.
