Focus of research
I am an early career researcher specializing in health psychology. I am interested in the meanings of and determinants of health amongst different communities and groups, particularly those who are marginilised or seldom heard in health research. I conduct research which prioritizes lived experience from the ground up to develop strategies and interventions which can improve health outcomes and mobilize knowledge dissemination.
I have worked in a variety of research and clinical fields including trans health and gender, psychiatry, gynaecology and oncology. I am currently working as a postdoctoral researcher on Affirm Relationships, an ERC funded project which aims to better understand well-being during gender affirming hormone therapy from a biopsychosocial perspective. Previous to this, I completed my ESRC funded PhD at Loughborough University. My PhD thesis investigated the feasibility of implementing a behaviour change intervention to improve quality of life after cervical cancer.
