Focus of research

I am an enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher in the field of HIV, specialised in the epidemiological analysis of large observational cohorts studies. I am involved in several multi-country HIV cohort studies and collaborations, in both resource-rich and resource-limited settings.

My research addresses clinical, public health and policy-related questions. Key themes are: the response to antiretroviral therapy of HIV, treatment monitoring and switch strategies, drug resistance, viral hepatitis, and quality of care.

My colleagues and I at Stichting HIV Monitoring are responsible for the national surveillance and monitoring of HIV in the Netherlands.
