Hearing loss, cochlear implants, CI

Focus of research

Currently I am working on a project titled: Factors affecting work performance in people with a cochlear implant.

The aim of this project is to gain more knowledge about people with a cochlear implant (CI) and work.

We will compare CI users with other hearing impaired participants (with and without hearing aid) and participants without hearing loss.

In a second analysis, we also investigate to what extent CI outcome (e.g. scores on speech recognition tests) is related to work performance and participation.

The project is being carried out in collaboration with Leiden University medical center, ENT department.

This project is a subproject of NWO project Intense: Intense Project - Innovative Neurotechnology for society | intenseproject

It consists of a number of scientific workpackages: Intense Project - Work packages

Subproject ‘Factors affecting work performance in people with a cochlear implant’ focuses on WP2 and WPC.
