Disruption of immune homeostasis is associated with the emergence of immune-mediated pro-inflammatory diseases (such as inflammatory bowel disease and rheumatoid arthritis), as well as with diseases linked to immunodeficiency or immunosuppression, including frequent infections and cancers. In this multidisciplinary symposium, leading experts will discuss the mechanisms that maintain immune-homeostasis and those that drive its imbalance.
