After a long period of hard work, it’s finally here: as of December 16th the eight research institutes will present their researchers, programs and highlighted projects on the new Research website of Amsterdam UMC.

The website displays different assets of the research community of Amsterdam UMC such as our Researchers, Research Institutes, Research Highlights, Research Programs, Core Facilities, and Research Support offices. The Research website is intended for our own research community as well as to gain visibility outside Amsterdam UMC. The website should develop into an online platform with more collaboration and interaction between researchers and other interested parties.

Better presentation

Researchers can present themselves much better on the website, says Martine de Bruijne, director of the Amsterdam Public Health research institute. “We can now clearly show who our researchers are, which themes we are working on and what news there is about current projects. Individual researchers have their own personal page with the latest publications.” New publications are added automatically. In addition, the website has a good search tool, so that people can find experts on a specific topic. Collaborations between Amsterdam UMC, VU University Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam are also becoming more transparent. Read more on the new Research Website on Tulp intranet (in Dutch).

Update your profile page in Pure

Researchers will have their own personal page on this website. The source of the information displayed is Pure, the output registry system of Amsterdam UMC. Soon it will also be possible to link from the personal page on the Research website to the extensive profile page on the Amsterdam UMC research portal.

An up-to-date personal page provides clear visibility for you as Amsterdam UMC researcher and might help others to find you. Therefore, we would like to invite you to complete this personal page (including a photo!) via the output registry system Pure. A manual can be found on the Research Support pages after launch: amsterdamumc.org/pure.

Note that an incomplete personal page on the Research website is due to an incomplete profile in Pure. You can complete this information yourself, using the manual. It takes a day before you see the changes at your personal page on the Research website.
