The development of athletes in team sports can be accelerated by the use of virtual training tools. These training tools are especially promising for the improvement of tactical skills.

In this project a virtual 3D room (VROOM) is developed to enable tactical training within soccer by using an extended reality (XR) training tool that displays soccer situations in a 3D space. The VROOM tracks the position of the soccer player and has custom algorithms that allow computer-generated avatars to interact with the athlete in real time, thus providing an interactive individualized learning environment.
