In line with its strategic plans for the period 2020-2023, the Amsterdam Public Health research institute issues a call for proposals. The call has been divided in two rounds, of which the first has been send out in the Summer of 2020. The second round of the call opens now and has been aligned with APH’s recently updated strategic plans in response to current developments and major challenges ahead that will impact public health. The novel strategic themes are: Sustainability, Digitalization, and Resilience in times of health crisis.
Applications should fit within at least one of these novel strategic themes and can be submitted for:
- Postdoc researchers (3 fellows of €110,000 each, spread over 2 years)
- Embedded PhD (1 PhD candidate of €145,000, spread over 4 years)
These grants provide a 50% coverage of the costs as proposed in the total budget of the application, including salary costs, education costs and bench fee. The remaining 50% should be matched by a non-academic partner, private partner or the applicant’s research department.
Applications can only be submitted by a researcher (minimum postdoc level) primarily participating in APH with the approval of the head of department and other partners involved. Deadline for submitting applications is Monday February 28 , 2022, 23:59 hrs.
