Focus of research
Malon Van den Hof is a medical doctor (Jeugdarts KNMG) and epidemiologist. She works as a researcher at the Department of Epidemiology and Data Science (EDS) and the Department of Public and Occupational Health (POH), where she is training as a public health specialist (Arts Maatschappij en Gezondheid).
Her research focuses on early-life prevention and the broader societal determinants of health in childhood, exploring how these factors shape health and societal outcomes across the life course. She works with national registry data in collaboration with Statistics Netherlands, conducts studies at the municipal level with youth healthcare services, and supports the translation of research into policy.
