A hybrid lecture connecting cancer research beyond its borders. On March 19 CCA NeXt returns with a new edition especially for researchers who are curious, ambitious, and ready to think beyond their own field. Expect big ideas, unexpected connections, music and of course: drinks.

Prof. dr. Maarten de Rijke – University of Amsterdam. What do dating apps and cancer research have in common? Algorithms! Prof. dr. Maarten de Rijke is a leading expert in artificial intelligence and information retrieval at the University of Amsterdam. He studies how algorithms influence what we see, choose, and trust, from search engines to recommendation systems. In this keynote, he takes us inside the world of dating app algorithms.

16:45 – 17:00 | Live music

[namen], a singer and guitarist from the Conservatory will take the stage with a short performance centered around love, connection, and rhythm. Because whether in research, relationships, or music: timing, harmony, and interaction matter.

17:00 – 18:00 | Drinks, snacks & networking
